Disney Channel’s Imagineer That! Public Affairs Campaign

BACKGROUND

Inspired by the Walt Disney Imagineers, Imagineer That! is Disney Channel’s public affairs program designed to teach fifth and sixth grade students how to unlock their creativity. Looking for an engaging way to reach kids while supporting key learning objectives and showcasing Disney Channel talent, Disney Channel called on Oasis to create a unique and notable local event.

Oasis conceptualized, scripted, designed and produced a 60-minute in-school assembly led by a Walt Disney Imagineer and two Disney Channel hosts. The live, interactive stage show used music, video, creativity challenges, and a special appearance with a Disney Channel celebrity to inspire creativity in kids’ everyday lives.

RESULTS

Visiting elementary schools, Boys and Girls Clubs and a 3,000-kid audience in Dodger Stadium, Imagineer That! built students’ creative confidence and taught them to express their ideas while building a bond between local communities and Disney Channel affiliates. The program sparked interest from local media including the Kansas City Star and Los Angeles Times.
